10 REASONS WHY YOU SHOULD NOT HAVE A RABBIT


THEY ARE NOT A REPLACEMENT FOR DOGS: 

Some people get rabbits as a replacement for dogs or as an experiment pets. Please don't do this they are not a replacement for any pets.Because of this most of time rabbits gets abandoned 

THEY ARE 7+ YEARS COMMITMENT:

Rabbits can live upto 13 years and that's a huge commitment .If you are not prepared for the changes and sacrifices you have to make for your rabbit for its entire life don't get one.

THEY GET SICK VERY EASILY:

Rabbits get sick and they also get hurt very easily and their medical bills are not a joke  

THEY NEED TO LIVE INDOORS: 

Because rabbits are prey animals they have a potential threat from any animal around them for this reason they have to stay indoors. Never leave your rabbits outdoors without any assistance.

DON'T BUY THEM FOR YOUR KIDS: 

Rabbits are very fragile and they can get hurt very easily.They not idea pets for kids so don't one just because your kid wants a pet and you don't want to get a dog.

THEY CAN BECOME EXPENSIVE:

Rabbits need a continuous access of chew toys inorder to wear down their ever growing teeth. The veggies ,hay, treats,pallets and medical bills can sum up to a pretty decent amount.

THEY ARE NOT AS AFFECTIONATE AS DOGS:

If you are expecting them to be as friendly as dogs get ready to get disappointed.Rabbits are nothing like dogs and they show their love and affection in a very different way than dogs.

THEY ARE LOT OF WORK: 

Rabbits can make the place around them very messy which means lots of cleaning. If you don't like the work and cleaning you have to go through a day don't get a rabbit

GROOMING IS IMORTANT:

Rabbits need a daily grooming because they shed a lot.Once a month they also need nails trimming, ear cleaning, cleaning of scent glands and butt baths it necessary  

THEY CHEW ON EVERYTHING:

Rabbits chew on everything they see like literally everything. Wood, cords, charging cables,clothes and every other thing they have access to so you always have to look out for them.

RABBIT DIET FOR ADULT RABBITS

     RABBIT DIET - ADULT (VEGGIES, PELLETS, HAY & TREATS) ADULT BUNNIE DIET: 1-5 years HAY: Adult rabbits need unlimited hay (grass) because 80% of their diet depends on the hay and adult rabbits usually eat meadow hay & Timothy hay . In Hindi Timothy hay is called Durva grassland in Telugu it is Garika .You can buy hay from online or from farm HOW TO MAKE HAY AT HOME : If buying hay is not an option for you then Just get some grass from outside like Durva grass which is easily available and spread that grass on a paper and place it under sun for a day or you can give that directly to your adult bunnies  I recommend buying them from local vendor or growing it yourself because when you buy online they usually charge more than what we get and we end up giving less hay for our rabbits.
